What is the FALCO Dog School ...

• I established the FALCO DOG SCHOOL in the autumn 1998 as a reaction to the way in which most dog-training institutions had been (and still are) conceived. Unlike those, I never train dogs in the method of exanimate nerveless drill. I do not teach them showy things for effect, I am not interested in competition points, cups or examination codes. I do teach dogs and especially their owners practical things needed in everyday life, setting the correct pack hierarchy, resulting in untroubled common life of man and his dog.
   
• I work with every dog of any age (the bottom limit is 3 or 4 months of age), breed and character – individually, following the knowledge of dogs’ nature and temper, breed specifics and natural dog communication. I don’t know dogs that cannot be managed – I only know dogs that have not been managed. Unlike classical training institutions and trainers, I make a distinction between the natural dog dominance and real aggressiveness - troubled individuals are never isolated in seclusion but are integrated in the pack that I lead and rule; that is how they learn untroubled behavior in the natural way.
   
• The FALCO DOG SCHOOL refuses constricting (throttling) collars, spiky collars, baskets and other restriction or coercive instruments. Unlike other training institutions, we prevent our clients from using electric collars and other instruments designed for torturing dogs. My clients do not need such things – neither as the course students, nor as graduates afterwards.
   
• I will teach you to communicate with your doggie so as to let it understand you. Your dog will be self-confident and non-aggressive. You will take delight in your dog, and your dog will trust in you.

What are my demands ...

• Regarding the unique methods in leading the dogs and the dog pack that are part of my exclusive know-how, I provide people with an opportunity to learn things they can’t learn anywhere else. However, I must point out in advance that not all clients will automatically become graduates. This depends on the client’s willingness and ability to cooperate and give the work with his doggie his own energy, time and capacity.
   
• I choose my clients – that’s what the selective status of the FALCO Dog School results from. Every candidate has a chance; what only matters is his personal approach to the instruction. I am not interested in dogs’ entry abilities; I am interested in how strong is the owner’s motivation and endeavor to achieve results.
   
• Throughout the existence of the FALCO Dog School, a remarkable fact became apparent: Those who fail are not dogs but their owners. About 80% of my clients do pass my school, while 20% drop out for not having coped with themselves - that’s what my longtime statistics says. Approximately 30% of dropouts (the length of the tuition is, of course, individual), some 30% come back some time later, saying that they have completely failed in coping with their dogs and are ready to continue on the course – having generally learned that it is useful to bring things to completion, as well as understood that the appropriate place to learn the important things is my dog school. That’s the pure fact conveyed to me by the dog owners themselves.
   
• I am demanding – very demanding. On myself (as every lesson takes a big deal of my energy, especially mental), on people (because I really want them to learn the things they need, and I refuse practicing the popular “always smiling” sycophantism to make them stay), and also on doggies (but I never have problems with these). If somebody does not want to cooperate, seek his own faults and correct his own mistakes, then I will have to part with him because my aim is not quantity but quality. I do not pursue after maximum number of clients; I simply work with only those people who really want to understand what I teach them.

• The FALCO DOG SCHOOL is open for everybody who is really interested in the knowledge I offer. It is open for all dog breeds from about 4 months of age. The “only” things you will need are love for your four-legged friend, energy for work, real endeavor to learn something, a leather collar (not a constricting one, never a spiky one!), a solid leash (I recommend one with adjustable length, forget the windup “flexi” one), tidbits for your doggie (granules, biscuits, etc.).
